Taylor Swift Puts Haters On Blast With Mean STAFF PICK OF THE DAY: Mean Smacks Down The Haters

“Mean” is a banjo thumping, hand clapping number from America’s sweetheart, Taylor Swift. The song was written to address Swift’s critics, in which she explained during an interview with Does.ca: “there’s a song called ‘Mean,’ that I guess you could categorize it into feelings and or relationships but it’s actually about a critic.”

Kanye West at 12 12 Year Old Kanye Recites Original Poem for MLK

Although MLK Day has since past, it’s never to late to spread his message of peace and equality. I recently stumbled upon a clip of 12-year-old Kanye reciting an original poem for MLK day. I blown away by his ability to command an audience at such a young age and the confidence he exuded as he spoke. The poem itself is a wonder, the words are profound in its simplicity and the flow culminates to a dramatic finish.

Jason Mraz I Wont Give Up 1024x768 STAFF PICK OF THE DAY: Jason Mraz Is Back With I Wont Give Up

Jason Mraz is back with another mellowed-out love song to follow up his smash hit, “I’m Yours,” back in 2008. Although it’s a bit too early to tell if “I Won’t Give Up” will live up to the international success of its predecessor, this fresh single carries the easy melodies and blissful lyrics that will make it a staple for romance flicks and the like — perfect for February’s upcoming Valentine’s Day festivities.

Growing up I was one of those kids who knew all the lyrics and names to every single Beatles track and album. From their most obscure work to their famed Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, I knew it all. I lived and breathed their music, which sparked a chord of creativity in me every time I listened to their work.

Steve Aoki and “Dirty Talk” pop sensation, Wynter Gordon team up for “Ladi Dadi,” the second single off his Wonderland album. The chorus drops pulsating dubstep beats to the words: “A little bit of joy/ A little bit of pressure/ A little bit of naked now/And then we work it out/A little smokey-smoke/ Tell me a dirty joke/ I’ll blow your roof.” Ooo la la.
