Busta Rhymes has just released his first music video with Cash Money Records for single “Why Stop Now.” The Chris Brown-assisted and Hype Williams-directed rap track exclusively premiered on Google Music Monday, Jan. 30.

Rhymes’ famous rap skills helped Brown’s “Look at Me Now” land a Grammy nomination and now, Brown is returning the favor on “Why Stop Now.” While Brown shows off his dancing acrobatics, Rhymes spits fire with his legendary lyrical acrobatics.

The new York rapper commented on Williams’ involvement with the video saying, “That interaction has always been the primary source of why our chemistry has always been so special.” He added, “He wouldn’t give Kanye West a fish-eye lens, he won’t give Jay-Z a fish-eye lens. That’s my sh*t. He knew that that was the most perfect thing to use for me when we first worked together because of the dynamic of my animation.”

Williams became known in the 90′s for his use of a fish-eyes lens in music videos including videos “Gimme Some More” with Bust Rhymes and “The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly)” with Missy Elliot. I think he did a phenomenal job at visually translating the lyrics and beats of “Why Stop Now.”

Rhymes is a music veteran having started his music career back when he was a teenager and just like his unbelievably and highly skilled fast rapping technique, his career shows no signs of slowing down. I was amazed at Rhymes ability back when I was in middle school and I am still amazed to this day.

“Why Stop Now” brings out all the guns as the springboard for Rhyme’s fairly recent signing with Cash Money Records. The music video shows all the classic signs of a Bust Rhymes video but with a current, edgy vibe.

I was surprised to hear that Brown’s vocals on the track sound absolutely nothing like him. Regardless, it’s still a really good addition and it actually softens the hard hitting beats laid down by Rhymes.

The video opens with an interesting quote by philosopher Sophocles who said, “How terrible is wisdom, when it brings no profit to the man that’s wise” before bringing the viewer on one wild ride in a dark, Hellboy meets Matrix world.

Busta Rhymes definitely still has IT.

“Why Stop Now” is the first single off Busta Rhymes’ 9th studio album E.L.E. (Extinction Level Event) 2: End Of The World, scheduled to hit stores later this year.

A YouTube video of contemporary RnB singer-songwriter Alicia Keys(30) making her DJ debut from October 29 has just surfaced on the internet.

Mrs. DJ AK-47 rocked the turntables at Yotel New York with husband and renowned producer, rapper, and DJ, Swizz Beats(33). Swizz Beats warmed the crowd up before giving the spotlight to his wife. The adorable music couple got married last May.

DJ AK-47 made a twitter account last month and tweeted ““I learned how to DJ at 9:45 tonight” before performing. She tweeted two days later, “Mixtape coming soon!!!!”

Busta Rhymes also made an appearance and helped back up DJ AK-47 along with Swizz Beats.

That being said, this courtesy does not extend to Bieber Fever (aka Justin Bieber) and Busta Rhymes Christmas specials. First, let me explain.

It has come to my attention that today’s biggest names in hip-hop/rap (Kanye, Snoop Dogg, etc.) are lining up to collab with the Biebs. Take a minute to soak this in. I don’t know what make me more upset,  the fact that Snoop Dogg didn’t have enough of a fail with Katy Perry’s “California Gurl”  (Why Snoopy D? Why??) or that a 13-year-old has more street cred than I do. Either way, I encourage you to listen to Bieber Fever’s recent collab with Busta Rhymes on the Christmas classic “Drummer Boy.”

My favorite line? “Bieber hit me back and said let’s make it hot up in the winter. I said, cool, cool, you know I will deliver. Let’s collaborate and make the holiday a little bigger.” Let us know what you think about this festive medly and your take on the duo’s joint effort!
