Fans who came out to a special screening of Katy Perry’s new film “Katy Perry: Part of Me 3D” in London received an unexpected treat…an appearance by Katy Perry herself! Not only did Katy Perry say hello to the crowd, she also took a seat amongst everyone and served popcorn.

One fan asked “Can I have a hug?” Her reply, “You wanna hug? Come down here.” Another fan said “I actually feel like I know Katy Perry now like personally…she could be your best friend and she would be the most awesome friend ever!” One fan summed up the whole experience by stating “I got goosebumps the whole way through. She’s so inspirational.”

These lucky fans had a great time meeting Katy Perry and I think it’s safe to say that she made her fans feel like they were “living a teenage dream”!

Katy Perry dazzled at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards this past weekend with a gravity-defying performance. The songstress appeared before the audience on a sheet suspended  in the air as she crooned “Wide Awake.”
The emotional breakup track was written for Perry’s much buzzed about 3D film, Katy Perry: Part of Me, which will debut July 5th.

The set was breathtaking, reminiscent of Pink’s own Grammy performance, and featured ethereal shooting stars and clouds in the background. Perry spun in the air, decked out in a dreamy white gown billowing around her as acrobats gracefully danced around her.

On a recent appearance for BBC’s Radio 1 Live Lounge in London, Katy Perry surprised viewers by covering hit single “N****s In Paris.

Following it’s debut at the 2012 Grammys, Katy Perry’s new single “Part Of Me” launches to the top of the Billboard charts– marking her seventh No. 1 on the Hot 100. Of course, it’s impossible to ignore the song’s timely release — the “E.T.” crooner recently divorced ex-husband Russel Brand, causing a media frenzy of twitter gossip and hubbub.

As part of Barbara Walters’ 10 Most Fascinating People of 2011 segment, Katy Perry sat down with the broadcast journalist extraordinaire and chatted about her ambiguous sexuality (stating that she’s “not totally anything” when Walters asked if she was totally gay or straight), her future baby plans and why she had Jesus’ name inked on her left wrist when she was 18.

Last Saturday, Katy Perry graced the famed SNL stage as their host for the week. Except she wasn’t exactly the pink haired “The One That Got Away” crooner we’ve all come to know. Nope, this time she was decked out in an oversized blue dress and red wig in an attempt to channel Florence Welch in a comedy skit called “Doggie Duty.” Despite the tackiness and overriding feeling that Miss Perry was trying a tad to hard, you’ve got to give it to her for nailing Florence’s moody voice and hipster dance moves.

As for the lady herself, Florence was actually highly amused by “The Dog Trial Is Over” imitation, commenting that “She looks amazing! I was like, ‘Yeah, that’s it! You’ve got the hair, the dress, everything!’… I’ve heard she did a really amazing job, and I’m kind of really honored.” Well, go figure!
