Britney Spears’ Steamy “Criminal” Music Video Just Released

Pop princess Britney Spears (29) has outdone herself. The Max Martin and Shellback written and produced “Criminal” is the fourth single from Spear’s seventh studio album, Femme Fatale. The music video reveals a fit Spears with the same bubbly personality that originally won so many hearts when she first rose to fame with “…Baby One More Time” (1999).

“Criminal” features Spears’ real life boyfriend Jason Trawick as the video siren’s bad boy lover. Trawick rescues Spears from her polished but abusive date and they ride off via motorcycle into the night. The video then features the pair robbing a convenient store and being chased by the police. SPOILER ALERT (but not really), Spears and Trawick are able to flee from the police and be together. What other ending could there be for a Britney music video?

The Chris Marrs Piliero-directed video was shot in London. Piliero also directed Spears’ “I Wanna Go”.

The intimate scenes featured of Spears and Trawick have begun to cause some controversy on the web. However like many pop stars, Spears does not play anything safe and has pushed the limits of what is and is not acceptable for some.
