Lady Gaga’s Parents & Oprah’s Former Chef Open Italian Restaurant in New York

Mr. and Mrs. Germanotta have teamed up with Oprah Winfrey’s former personal chef, Art Smith, to open a Southern Italian restaurant in New York’s Upper West Side.
The new restaurant is named after Lady Gaga’s late aunt, Joanne Trattoria.
The restaurant’s website states that it will be open Monday-Sundays 4:30pm till closing and that it is now accepting reservations for next month. An official menu has yet to be posted.
The eatery’s website is very modest and plain looking and if that’s any clue for the restaurant’s style, I would say that Joanna Trattoria will be skipping out on the beef skirt tables and dark, Gothic inspired ceiling paintings.
Jo Germanotta bluntly shared, “If they’re expecting to come in here and see Grammys and pictures and stuff like that, it’s not going to happen.”
I’m interested to see if the Yelp community will embrace or diss Joanne Trattoria come next month. If you’re in the area next month, will you be checking out Grandmother and Grandfather Monster’s Italian eatery?
