Mayor Bloomberg has been quite the fan of Lady Gaga lately. First there was the much buzzed about kiss the two shared on New Years and now he’s jamming to her music for his annual State of the City Address! Last Thursday, in a parody clip he played before his address at the Morris High School Campus in the Bronx, Bloomberg jumps in a cab and tells the driver to flip on some Gaga (a nod towards the signed legislation for more yellow cabs in the outer boroughs of NY).
Along the way, he runs into various jolly characters. Health Commissioner Thomas Farley (sporting a thermal with an “A” restaurant health rating) and Schools Chancellor Dennis Walcott (repping in a I <3 NYC Schools tee) are spotted warming up for their daily jog. Deputy Mayor Howard Wolfson and Transportation Commissioner Janette Sadik-Khan are fittingly seen biking, to which Bloomberg cautions them to ride in the bike lanes — a major policy project of his.
The video ends with the Mayor arriving at Morris High School to a gaggle of screaming girls, because he’s Bloomberg (aka a cool cat who jams to Gaga on taxi rides).
