Nicki Minaj Gives Kudos To Taylor Swift at AMA

During Nicki Minaj’s acceptance speech for “Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Artist” at the American Music Awards, the “Super Bass” singer thanked country sweetheart Taylor Swift for helping  her debut “Pink Friday” album reach No.1 on the charts, gracefully bowing to Swift in acknowledgement. When Access Hollywood asked Minaj what prompted the shout out, she replied: “At one point when ‘Pink Friday’ was released, I wasn’t even going to put out ‘Super Bass’ right away and then she [Swift] tweeted about it…All of her fans went and bought it…I have to thank her because if it wasn’t for her being open and honest about a new song she liked, no one would know.”

Swift, a die-hard Nicki Minaj fan, was reported beaming from the audience.
