STAFF PICK OF THE DAY: Michael Bublé Just Hasn’t Met You Yet

Everyone’s favorite Frank Sinatra kid, Michael Bublé, debuted “Haven’t Met You Yet” as his first single on his fourth Crazy Love album, peaking at No.24 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song is dedicated to his then fiancée and present wife, Luisana Lopilato — who plays the girl of his dreams in the video.
The piano creates a flawless upbeat accompaniment to Bublé’s tenor vocal range and although the lyrical structure isHollywoodsappy, the charm of it all pulls us in. As Digital Spy’s Nick Levine remarked, “‘Haven’t Met You Yet’ is a toe-tapping pop tune with lavish production – the strings swell in all the right places, the brass parps perkily – and lyrics so shamelessly romantic Barry Manilow could sing them. It’s cheesy as a quesadilla and too chirpy by half, but if this sort of thing pushes your guilty pleasure button, it’s probably best to enjoy it while you can.”
We agree, so check out Michael Bublé’s “Haven’t Met You Yet” below:
