STAFF PICK OF THE DAY: Viennie V Dazzles “For You”

Pop’s freshest talent, Viennie V, dropped her long-awaited “For You” music video Tuesday, December 27th. Since then, fans have been raving about her sugar sweet ballad and its addictingly catchy tune. The sultry pint-sized singer tweeted, “So excited about my new music video ‘For You’!!!,” urging fans to “Check it out if you haven’t had a chance =).”

For being relatively new to the industry, debuting last September in 2011, Viennie V quickly gained a massive following — with each of her previous music videos gaining well over 1 million views on YouTube. Much of it can be credited to not only her fierce talent and vocal range but her Asian-American roots as well. Viennie V represents a large part of the population that is for the most part, almost non-existent in the music industry. Fortunately, she seems determined to change that. With each new hit song, Viennie V is proving that talent, passion and ambition can go a long way.

The “For You” music video is a hilarious clip featuring Viennie V as a contestant on a retro dreamlike dating show. We watch her go from one dating disaster to the next, saving a macho man from lighting himself on fire to rescuing a date from choking to death. Finally, she meets her true love on a rooftop, after saving the poor lad from falling, and the two celebrate their newfound love with champagne at sunset. It’s a mini romantic comedy that compliments the soaring vocals and sparkling beats of “For You.”
